Bmw 2008 X5 Nav Display Light Failure
Hi
The backlight of the NAV display in my 2008 X5 will not turn on. It gradually started to fail and now it has been permanently off for a week.
I have noticed that I am far from the only one to experience this malfunction, so it seems to be a design weakness in the product. What is the BMW policy of this? Do they require the car owner to purchase a completely new display module (= very expensive) or do they offer a special replacement service?
