With the caveat that I an not an auto mechanic, I have done lots of car work. This sounds to me at least like a classic bad ground connection. What I would do if first thoroughly clean the battery cable ends with a battery brush. The I would make sure that the negative battery terminal has a good solid connection to the car chassis/engine block. Make sure there is not rust or paint under it. If that still doesn't help I would try new battery cables. Short of that I recommend having a qualified mechanic have a look.

  • Cause a premature furnace breakdown: Constantly turning on and off puts extra strain on the furnace. This leads to a premature breakdown with expensive repair costs.
  • Increase your energy bills: Imagine turning your car on and off for every mile you drive. That's a wasteful way to drive. Similarly, your furnace needs time to run to work efficiently.
