Asus K55a Laptop Wont Boot Up After Saving Bios.

After a windows update my computer restarted and i got this message. "Reboot and select proper boot device." I turned the laptop off then on and went into the bios and saved the same exact boot sequence. As soon as i saved the bios i got a dead screen. I turned the laptop off and on again and the laptop still shows a dead screen. When I turn it on I can hear the hard spining for about 3 seconds and then stops spinning. The only thing that is running is the fan. I have tried the f2 f8 and f8 buttons upon boot up but i dont get anything on the screen. Is there something that i can do to fix this laptop that i bought 5 months ago? By the way it has windows 8 on it if that matter.

"Reboot and select proper boot device" error is mostly related to harddisk drive failure of your computer system. You can fix this issue by replacing the hard disk drive. You may also follow the video tutorials below.

What you will have to do is press and hold the F9 key. If you see the ASUS logo, then you will have to try again. You will notice the screen turn light blue and you have chooses. Go to tools, advanced tools, and go to firmware. There you will be able to get in to the bios and you should be able to change the boot option to your hard drive.
