Is It Possible To Use Usb Memory Sticks Bigger Than 2gb On Mac Os 9.2.2 ?

I often have to backup data from old computers, including old PowerMac G3 running Mac OS 9.2.2 (i.e. native Classic). I always use a 2GB USB memory stick to do so. Indeed, I have been told that the old OS manages USB memory sticks in a way which might cause data loss if the capacity of the USB memory stick is bigger than 2GB.  Is this size limit correct, or is it safe to use bigger memory sizes, and if so up to which size? Thank you for your feed-back  :-)

Mac OS 9 Introduced the capablity to deal with files larger than 2 GB, so you should be safe on that front

If you are in a experimenting mood, you can try different flash drives above 4 GB and transfer files, so you can find some sort of upper limit, If any. Just make sure you have back up :-)
