How To Upload Pics From An Android Phone To A Windows Surface

My Android Moto X phone has a broken screen. It was dropped on the ground and turns on and vibrates but the screen is completley black. I have it plugged in by USB but i dont know how to upload anything because the screen is completley black.

If the touch won't work at all' you wont be able to get your pictures, since all android phone require the user to manually turn on USB storage from the phone when USB cable is connected. Unless if your pictures were saved on SD card' you can then remove the SD card to another phone and follow the instructions on the link below.
