International travel requires check-in 2 hrs in advance (which I know in your case is EXTREMELY early). I would recommend calling American at 800-433-7300 to ask them if there will be staff at the DEN ticket counter that early just to make sure.

You'll need your passport to check-in. Depending on the country you'll be visiting, you may also need to find out about visa requirements, which vary depending on your destination, citizinship and country passport was issued.
