Power Light Comes On, But No Output From Speaker Terminal Hook-ups.

got amp from friend. it had been in storage for years. hooked it up in my jeep to see what kind of power, but didn't get any sound from speaker output terimals.

Most probable; improperly wired (check power and stereo switch wires). Least probable; over current safety initiated (turn volume completely down on stereo when powering up, then slowly raise volume and listen for safety shut off).
