Alesis Cadenza Midi Function

Why MIDI Out Can't Be Directly Disabled
Design: The Cadenza is primarily designed to send MIDI data out to control other devices or software. Turning off MIDI Out completely would defeat a core purpose of the keyboard.
Workarounds:
Disconnect the MIDI Cable: The most straightforward way to stop any MIDI data from leaving the Cadenza is to physically unplug the MIDI Out cable.
Filtering on the Receiving Device: If you must keep the cable connected, investigate if the device or software receiving the MIDI data has filtering options. You may be able to:
Ignore specific MIDI messages from the Cadenza (like note on/off messages)
Filter by MIDI channel, effectively ignoring the Cadenza if it's transmitting on a different channel.
Utilize Local Control: Many keyboards, potentially including the Cadenza, have a "Local Control" setting. This has the following effect:
Local Control Off: The keyboard's key presses won't produce sound from its internal sound engine, BUT MIDI data is still sent out.
Local Control On: The typical mode. Key presses produce sound and send MIDI out.
To Find 'Local Control' Options (if available):
User Manual: Consult the Alesis Cadenza's manual. Search for keywords like "Local Control" or "MIDI settings."
On-Screen Menus: Explore menus on the keyboard's display screen if it has one. Look under settings relating to MIDI or system configuration.
Let me know if you want help exploring any of these options in more detail!

Press the "Function" button on the keyboard. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the "MIDI" function.
Once in the MIDI function, you should see an option to enable or disable the MIDI output. Use the arrow buttons to select the option you want (enable or disable).
Press the "Enter" button to confirm your selection. This should allow you to turn the MIDI output on or off on your Alesis Cadenza keyboard.
Keep in mind that the specific steps may vary slightly depending on the model of the keyboard, so it's a good idea to refer to the user manual for detailed instructions.
