Frequent Blue Screens, Systems Shut Down And Other Issues
When i purchased my Aspire x1700 I was not aware that I would have several issues with it.
Within the first 30 days I had to return the computer for hardware issues. While it was sent to acer and eventually returned I continued to have problems with the computer. So much so that I have had it in the shop on 3 other occassions for hardware and software issues.
Lately I continue to get the blue screen and when i conduct a diagnostic check it indicates that i have hardware issues and should be returned to Acer to be fixed. This would be the 4th time i would have to take it in for repair.
Does acer stand by their products or do they allow the consumer to suffer with computers that are not reliable. Being this would be the 4th time and it continues to be hardware issues why cant i get it replaced. This product needs to be recalled and i will not endorse your product to co-workers or family and friends.
Please replace this defective product as i use it for work and my son for school.

Firstly the product has a heat problem, not a shocker there.
secondly windows appears to have a conflict with the g100 gpu, when drivers update you get a blue screen.
thirdly the heat leads to contact corrosion, so you may need to clean the board [particularly around the sata ports.
Forth sata cables may be loosing data due to heat and acute angles in case.
