Acer Aspire V5 Not Turning On

my acer aspire v5 is showing blue power light on on button but won't start up - just shows a blank screen. I have tapped the "mouse" pad and also have a wireless mouse which I have clicked but nothing. Is there another way of turning on (f keys)? I can't even use the power button to switch "off" tp try to reboot it.

You have mentioned that your computer is turning on but just displays a blank screen. There are several causes for this computer blank screen problem. Some of these reasons are the following.

1. The monitor is turned OFF or the cables are disconnected.

2. A component in the computer (such as a graphics card) may have overheated.

3. If you have just installed the computer and nothing seems to work, it could a bad monitor or a low power supply.

4. Recent Hardware Changes.

5. Bad video/graphics card.

6. BIOS - the Binary Operating System may be corrupted.

7. BIOS - the booting software may be corrupted.

8. Corrupted Operating System.

9. Hard Disk Crash.
