Acer 5735-4774 Hdd Pw Reset I Have...
The reset codes from acer, but they dont show how to input information. I got the laptop in bad condition->backlite not working,missing battery, ac adapter and rom drive. Im retired and this is my 1st project (laptop) Fixed many desktops. Got parts today:). But just when i thought I had a handle on things hdd pw has stopped me in my tracks! (bingo looking good now) Can someone point me in the right direction. I can run "spotmau" enter bios etc. runs fine. I have manual just not clear...Thank you so very much and Happy holidays to your great staff!!!

I assume you mean the BIOS password. Page 119 illustrates how to do this. You need to short out 2 solder pads to clear the password.
If the hard disk actually has a password you will need to reformat it to remove it. In some cases that doesn't even help if it's hardware based.
Once the BIOS password is reset any bootup passwords will be also.
