Sleep, Hibernate Problems

When I close the lid or the laptop goes to sleep on its own, I cant resume or restart the laptop its just a black screen I have to force it off. Any ideas?

To correct this automatic hibernate when closing the lid of your laptop go to the control panel of your Windows and click the hardware. Click the power options and you browse for the settings regarding on the automatic hibernate when the lid is closed.
