Power Saving Issue

I have downloaded the relevant drivers for the battery (ePower saver, Power Smart manager) for my laptop (its hard disk) that recently crashed. However, the laptop can never go back to its pre-crash power saving ability (of up to 8 hrs with one full charge). Help required to solve this!

You should know that a battery never retains its original battery lifetime. Its shelf life decreases all the time. Perhaps your battery is past its original span time. Only a new battery can solve this problem.
