If you're talking about a corporate position, I can't help you there, however, both my daughter and my son worked for A&F (and A&F Kids and Holister)in their retail stores on Long Island in NY. My daughter was approached in the mall by a two-person team sent out from the store to look for candidates for employment. They use this method quite frequently here in the NY malls. My son obtained employment through my daughter a year later when he became of working age. My son just resigned a few months ago after working for them on a part time basis for almost 5 years. The only problem with part time retail at A&F is that you start at minimum wage and pretty much stay there unless you graduate college and secure fulltime employment. Then the salary gets pretty good (somewhere around $40,000 to start. Hope this was helpful for you.

Unfortuantely it depends. Often you have to be the "type" take a few hours to look around and check out the employees if you dress, look, or act like them the chances of you being highered go up significantly. 

They hire people based on the vibe they give off much like restaurants. Its rare to see someone who isnt asian at a chinese restaurant and vice versa. Its legally allowed because it "makes the restuarant". Unfortuntely this also applies in retail. Whens the last time you saw someone morebidly obese selling gym memberships. etc...

 

Depending on how you fit in your odds are based on that.
