Samsung-sgh-i527 Is Not Responding

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 SGH-I527 When I click on a app, I get a error message saying not responding. Wait close or report. This is a new phone. Replacement. What should I do. Sincerely Joan White PS. I ALSO SOMETIMES HAVE A BLACK SCREEN WHILE. WAITING.
