When I Put My Membership # In For Activation It Will Take Why

my membership number will not take when I put it in to activate our cards. Why

Despite AARP's misleading verbiage, no activation is requiredfor your paid-up membership card. You can verify this by phoning AARP at the number on the back of the card.
