Opening, closing and locking the doors Pull out the wire harness from the lugs on the support cables from the vehicle bed. Lift the support cable bracket up the right side of the tailgate to the tailgate wire harness connector (White). Attach the connector cover (Gray) to unhook the right side. 42 Tailgate wire harness connector (White) Connector cover (Gray) n Removing the tailgate Open the tailgate to the angle where you can release the brackets on both sides. Support cable bracket Tilt the tailgate to about 30° from vertical and pull up and slide it off. 1-2.

The seat will slide forward. Hold the lever until it locks. Move the seat to the front-most position. Folding seatback (Bench type seat) Pull the seatback lock release lever and fold down the seatback. Adjustable components (seats, mirrors, steering wheel) Moving passenger's seat for rear seat entry (if equipped) Lift the seatback angle adjusting lever or press the pedal behind the seatback. n After passengers are in the vehicle Lift the seatback and return the seat until you have swung the seatback forward slightly. 46 1-3.
