132 UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE Driver's Seatback Recline To recline the seatback, lean forward before lifting the handle, then lean back to an upright position. Reclining Seat WARNING! In a collision you could slide under the seat belt and be seriously or even fatally injured. Lift the handle to return the seatback to the desired position and release the handle. Do not ride with the seatback reclined so that the shoulder belt is parked. Use the recliner only when the vehicle is no longer resting against your chest.
