Do not try to tighten them in a crisscross pattern. Changing a Flat Tire 11.Put on finger-tight, then tighten them fully. 12.Lower the vehicle to : 80 lbf·ft (108 N·m , 11 kgf·m) 162 Have the wheel nut torque checked at the nearest automotive service facility. Put the wheel nuts back on the spare tire. Tighten the wheel nuts to the ground, and remove the jack. 13.Tighten the wheel nuts securely in a crisscross pattern with the wheel nut wrench until the wheel is firmly against the hub.
