Oil Check DIPSTICK Check the engine oil level every time you check the oil. 1. Remove the dipstick (orange handle). 2. Service Station Procedures To close the hood, lift it up slightly to about a foot (30 cm) above the fender, then let it is securely latched. After closing the hood, make sure it drop. Before Driving Put the support rod back into its holding clip. Wait a few minutes after turning the engine off before you fill the vehicle with a clean cloth or paper towel. Wipe the dipstick with fuel. Lower the hood to remove the support rod from the hole.
