Additional ramping may be damaged. Damage can occur from vehicle to ground or vehicle to wheel-lift equipment. Use wheel-lift or car-carrier equipment. The extension has a socket end and a flat chisel end. Be sure the flat end connects into the hoist shaft. Put the flat end of the extension on an angle through the hole in the rear door frame, above the bumper. Keep turning the ratchet until the spare tire canbe pulled out from under the vehicle. It also has a DOWN side. Turn the ratchet counterclockwise to lower the spare tire to the extension. Attach the ratchet, with the DOWN side facingyou, to theground.
