Place the hood prop into the slot on properly. Lower the hood 12 inches (30 cm) above the vehicle and release it to make sure the hood is closed and repeat the process if necessary. 4. Check to latch fully. Remove the hood prop from the slot in the inner fender and return the prop to relieve pressure on the hood prop. Before closing the hood, be sure all the filler caps are on the inner fender. 5-13 Then lift the hood to its retainer.
Place the hood prop into the slot on properly. Lower the hood 12 inches (30 cm) above the vehicle and release it to make sure the hood is closed and repeat the process if necessary. 4. Check to latch fully. Remove the hood prop from the slot in the inner fender and return the prop to relieve pressure on the hood prop. Before closing the hood, be sure all the filler caps are on the inner fender. 5-13 Then lift the hood to its retainer.
