The E2 error code on a Haier DE45EM dehumidifier indicates that the room temperature sensor has failed and needs to be replaced.

To replace the room temperature sensor, you will need to:

Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.

Remove the back panel of the dehumidifier.

Locate the room temperature sensor. It is usually a small, white sensor located near the top of the dehumidifier.
