Facebook Does Not Recognise That My Friend Is Online.

on the chat box at the right side, it wont show that my partner is online, although he is. he is not even on the list. i belive the box will show you the people you recently contacted or chat the most. we already tried changing browsers. login and logout facebook. im using Windows 7. both google chrome and IE. This issue happened yesterday until today

Perhaps your friend has set their facebook privacy settings to private. You should check these settings.
