To adjust the height of the Dirt Devil UD20005 vacuum, follow these steps:
- Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
- Locate the height adjustment knob on the front of the vacuum, just above the nozzle.
- Turn the knob to the desired height setting. There are four height settings available: "low" for bare floors, "medium low" for low pile carpets, "medium high" for medium pile carpets, and "high" for high pile carpets.
- Test the vacuum on the surface you wish to clean. If the vacuum is too difficult to push or pulls too much, adjust the height accordingly.
- Repeat as necessary until the vacuum glides smoothly over the surface you are cleaning.
