Cuisinart Hfp-300bkc
Stopped while shredding frozen parmesan after motor laboured. Will not start after cooling.
Where can this be repaired?

It is not the power switch or the motor. It is a safety switch in the bottom edge of the drum. This switch prevents the motor from running when the drum is removed. With the drum removed take a flashlight and look for a tiny reddish brown tab in the bottom edge. With the power button set in the on position and the unit plugged in push that tab in slightly and the motor will run. I disassembled mine and disabled the switch. If you attempt the same thing it is difficult to find all of the screws to disassemble. There are three in the handle. On the left side of the handle you will see three round plastic markings. These are actually little buttons that have to be pried out with a pointed object. You will damage them slightly but hey, who cares......they'll go back in after you reassemble.
